The Fiscal and Economic Research Center and the Institute for Water Business at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater recently analyzed the economic impact of our first five years of grantmaking. They found that the $12 million we invested in those five years:
- Created the equivalent of 822 full-time, family-supporting jobs
- Added $65 million to the local economy
- Raised property values by $131 million in surrounding neighborhoods
- Leveraged another $26 million in public and private investments in water quality
